I am a Canadian manufacturer of Masonry Heater Fireplace Kits, Wood Burning and very efficeint. I have been manufacturing these Kits for over 20 years now. The design concept is from Finland. We simply used this technology and developed a Do-It-Yourself type Kit to make it simple to install. These systems are heat storage systems and are used extensively all through Europe. The systems have a 98% combustion efficiency and an overall efficiency of 75% . Our fireplace kits are complete with an arched fireplace door, ceramic glass, top and bottom air wash in the fire door frame, which keeps the glass clean at all times, bake oven option, damper, ceramic wool, refractory cement and 1, 200 kilograms of firebrick parts. Each kit is shipped on a skid and consists of 26 parts, all numbered for easy assembly within 4 hours. The kit can be surrounded with brick or stone, tile and stucco. The flame path goes up and hits the lid and comes back down both sides, below the fireplace door and exits at the bottom into a chimney and goes back up the chimney through the roof. The refractory parts absorb most of the heat, much like a sponge, before exiting out the chimney. You burn this system for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night and it will give you 24 hours of heat. When this product is properly located inside the home, it will heat the complete structure. The bake oven can be used 24 hours a day when the system is burned every 12 hours. I am also a Canadian manufacturer of cremation urns and cremation vaults.
